Who can attend this camp?

All players shall be in grades 9 through 12 for the next regular football season. The camp is designed for Varsity teams, however both JV and Frosh teams may attend.

What paperwork will I need to attend Camp?

Application form, Physical form, and the full registration fee. Fill out the application form completely and have your parent or guardian sign the release form. No player will be accepted or allowed to participate without this form filled out and signed. Remit the $155 per athlete camp fee. Cash, money orders or cashiers check are ok., make all checks payable to 'Cascade Team Camp'. Team coaches may collect, assemble and remit all forms to the camp (BEST OPTION). Will I need a sports physical?

All players must have a sports physical form on file with the Cascade Team Camp, dated within the last year (copy of form o.k.). High School activity physicals are acceptable. Some programs offer physicals at the end of the school year for the fall season, take advantage of this offer!! Otherwise you are required to get your own physical from your family doctor or local clinic. Fees are nominal, make sure your school will accept a completed sports physical form for the next sport following the end of the school year.

Why do you need my insurance information?

Although the camp carries insurance, it only covers mishaps relating to the operation and safety of the camp and grounds. It does not cover accidents related to sports injuries. We also need the information to give to medical personal should you require medical attention during your time at camp.

Where is the closest medical facility?

In McCloud there is only basic EMT response. The closest hospital is the Mercy Medical Center at 914 Pine St, Mt Shasta, CA - (530) 926-7144 GOOGLE MAP

Where is the camp located?

The camp will be held at the campus of McCloud High School on the southern slope of beautiful Mt Shasta in McCloud ,California. Located a little more than an hour north of Redding and south of Ashland, from I-5 take Highway 89 out of Mt Shasta east 10 miles to the center of McCloud.   (Google Map of McCloud)

When and where should I report to camp?

Check in will be on Wednesday, check-in day, at approximately 2 P.M. Check-in will be located in Camp office in the main wing of the McCloud HS campus (there will be signs). Should early check in be needed due to long travel, please contact Coach Hunsaker, Camp Director, for information.

What should I bring to camp?

Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Mouth Piece Protector, cleated Football Shoes, Football Pants, Girdle w/ All Pads, Shorts and T-Shirts, and a team practice jersey (of one style and color with your team logo). Please do not use any equipment which is not legal in your state and/or section. You also need extra clothes and free time apparel. Check with your coach to find out if any extra curricular activities require special clothes. Also bring bedding and bathroom supplies. You will also need some spending cash, if you wish to buy food or personal items. Most coaches setup a 'bank' where you can safely keep your money and 'draw' out as you need it.

Where will I stay?

Campers will stay on campus in designated camping areas. You will need to bring your own tents and camping supplies.  We recommend that you eat lunch prior to arriving at camp. Each team will provide their own dinner on arrival day, there may be a fund raiser dinner on Wednesday night, please check for details. All other meals are provided by the Camp including Sunday morning.

Coming Alone?

Individual or 'maverick' campers are welcome. Small groups are aslo welcome. These 'maverick' campers will either make up a team or may join another team.

Can we leave campus to buy things?

Yes, but with a coach only – NO FREE SPIRITS! There is a grocery store, convenience store and a burger stand a couple of blocks from the campus. There is also a snack bar on campus to purchase food, drinks and the like. It will be open as long as camp activities are going on.

Anything I should not bring to camp?

Do NOT bring things you do not want to lose. This includes iPods, computers, money, Gameboys or other desirable items. While the Camp takes great care to protect the campus, we can not control the environment around the campus.


The Cascade Team Camp, its Directors, coaches and other personnel are not responsible for lost or stolen items. The camp will maintain a lost & found for the duration of the camp. While we will try to connect items with persons or teams, any unclaimed items will remain in the possession of the Camp and/or it's Directors.

Is it O.K. to trade team logo apparel?

Yes, in fact we encourage it! Feel free to bring your team logo merchandise so you can trade logo apparel with other teams.
